Your journey,
Our dialogue.

Counseling is a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with someone who listens without judgment.

Our work together centers on your unique way of being in the world—your values, challenges, relationships, and the meaning you find in life. You can expect a collaborative process where your voice guides the journey, while I offer thoughtful reflection, clinical insight, and compassionate support, always meeting you where you are. Grounded in respect and empathy, our work will honor your individual story and invite you to consider new ways of thinking, being, and relating.

What to expect in our work together

The lens through which I view counseling is…

  • Relational: The relationship we build is at the heart of counseling. Our early relationships teach us how to connect, often leaving behind patterns of distance, mistrust, or guardedness. Sometimes, it takes the experience of being met with care and presence to glimpse other possibilities of what connection might feel like outside of the counseling space.

  • Person-Centered: You are the expert of your own experience. My role isn’t to give advice, but to walk alongside you—to listen deeply, with empathy and respect. In our work together, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. I believe healing and growth happen naturally when we feel safe enough to show up as we are.

  • Existential: Suffering is an essential part of being human—something we all share, not something to be ashamed of. While we can’t always control what life brings, how we respond those conditions can give our lives a sense of meaning and purpose.

  • Mindful: Mindfulness isn’t about stopping your thoughts. It is about noticing what is happening inside you, moment by moment, and orienting toward it with curiosity, compassion, and care.

  • Strengths-based: I don’t view people as broken or in need of fixing. Often, the parts of ourselves we struggle with are actually the very parts that helped us cope and survive difficult circumstances. My approach shines a light on your strengths and resilience, often focusing on what’s working well rather than what’s wrong.

  • Collaborative: Therapy is a collaborative process that works best when we are authentic and honest with one another.

With over three years of experience in residential treatment, I bring specialized expertise in supporting individuals with addiction and their loved ones. I am well-versed in the philosophical foundations of the 12-Steps, integrating these perspectives into my therapeutic practice when appropriate.

My background also includes working with acute and complex trauma, and I understand the impact these experiences can have on the body and mind. My approach is grounded in sensitivity and awareness, and I actively work to avoid retraumatization by honoring each client’s pace, boundaries, and sense of control throughout the therapeutic process.
